Poetry Corner

 Welcome to Violet’s Poetry Corner!

I have always found poetry to be one of the most effective forms of expression.  As someone who needs a creative outlet, it’s been a very therapeutic means of being able to communicate what I can’t just “say.”  Moreover, as someone who is an avid reader of poetry, I have also found solace and inspiration through different types of poems from poets of all types from all different eras and walks of life.  One of the best things about poetry is that there really are no “rules,” and it has the capacity to reach people in distinct ways.

Without further ado, I wish to share two categories of poetry: Poems that I have written, and some of my favorite poetry of all time.

Enjoy!
