Mia the Monster
“Mia the Monster”
2007
Mia-
You’re back from the dead to haunt me,
You’re here to settle the score.
Just as I thought you were gone forever
You tell me you still want more.
And now it’s just like old times, right?
You’ve got me before your unholy shrine, on my knees.
You’re glad to see my suffering, to watch me writhe in pain.
You’re deaf to my pitiful pleas.
How could I have been so foolish,
To think I’d left you behind for good?
You’re as much a part of me as a wound that never heals,
As much as I want to believe that it could.
To leave you behind, I have no capacity
So I may as well lie down to accept my fate
That no one can save me from myself, you know it so well-
No family, no friend, no mate.
And I guess that’s the way it’s supposed to be after all.
Now there’s no denying the truth-
I’m abnormal and grotesque, to be apart from the rest.
You’ve make me a monster, just like you,
Mia.
